Last Updated: 31 March 2026

1. INTRODUCTION AND COMPLIANCE

Welcome to SLOGR ("App", "We", "Us", "Company", or "Data Fiduciary"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data.

This Privacy Policy is published in strict compliance with:

  • The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and its corresponding rules.
  • Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
  • The Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPI Rules").
  • The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 read with the E-Commerce Rules, 2020.

By accessing, downloading, or using the SLOGR mobile application, you ("User" or "Data Principal") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and unconditionally agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

2. DEFINITIONS

  • "Data Fiduciary": The entity determining the purpose and means of processing personal data (i.e., SLOGR / [Amit Kumar]).
  • "Data Principal": The natural person to whom the personal data relates (You).
  • "Personal Data": Any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data.
  • "Processing": Any operation performed on personal data, including collection, storage, use, sharing, or destruction.
  • "Consent": Free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous indication of your agreement to the processing of your data.

3. LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

We process your digital personal data strictly based on the following lawful grounds:

  • With Your Consent: Obtained through clear affirmative action when you install the App and grant requested device permissions.
  • Legitimate Uses: To provide uninterrupted live cricket scores, ensure network security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

4. CATEGORIES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT

SLOGR is designed to be fast and non-intrusive. We currently do not require mandatory user registration, thereby minimizing data collection. However, to optimize our services, we collect the following:

A. Information Collected Automatically:

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system (Android/iOS), unique device identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID), browser type, and mobile network details.
  • Log & Usage Data: IP address, access times, pages/screens viewed (e.g., Live Scorecard, News, Series), and interaction with app features.
  • Location Data: We do not collect precise GPS location. We derive coarse, approximate location (at a city or country level) from your IP address to deliver localized cricket news and relevant advertisements.

B. Operational Data:

  • Push Notification Tokens: We collect Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device tokens exclusively to send you real-time alerts (e.g., match toss, wickets, milestones, and breaking news).

C. Information You Provide Directly (Future Scope):

If you choose to contact us for support or if we introduce user accounts in the future, we may collect your name, email address, and feedback.

5. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING YOUR DATA

We process your information for the following specific and transparent purposes:

  • Core Service Delivery: To fetch and display ultra-fast live cricket scores, match commentary, and statistics securely.
  • Communication: To send critical broadcast messages and operational push notifications.
  • App Optimization & Analytics: Utilizing tools like Google Analytics for Firebase to monitor app performance, track crashes (Firebase Crashlytics), and improve user interface design.
  • Monetization & Advertising: To serve personalized and non-personalized advertisements through Google AdMob and display direct local sponsorships (Custom Ad Campaigns).
  • Security & Fraud Prevention: To protect our APIs from unauthorized bot access and ensure a safe environment for all users.

6. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

To improve user experience, the App utilizes "cookies" and similar tracking technologies (such as SDKs):

  • Essential Tracking: Necessary for the App to function and communicate with our cloud servers.
  • Advertising SDKs: Third-party advertisers (like Google AdMob) may use mobile identifiers to serve ads tailored to your interests.
  • Opt-Out: You can opt out of personalized advertising by navigating to your device settings (e.g., Android Settings > Privacy > Ads > "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization").

7. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

We respect your privacy and do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Information is only shared under limited circumstances:

  • With Data Processors: We share necessary operational data with trusted third-party service providers (e.g., Google Cloud/Firebase) who host our databases (asia-south1 servers) and process analytics. They are bound by strict data processing agreements.
  • With Advertisers: We share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information with ad networks to serve relevant ads.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information to government bodies, courts, or law enforcement agencies if required by law to prevent cyber incidents, investigate fraud, or protect our legal rights.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred with prior notice.

8. YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA PRINCIPAL (USER RIGHTS)

In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023, you possess robust rights over your data:

  • Right to Access & Information: You can request confirmation of your data being processed and request a summary.
  • Right to Correction & Erasure: You may ask us to correct inaccurate data or delete your data when its processing is no longer necessary.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time by revoking device permissions (like Notifications) or uninstalling the App. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
  • Right to Grievance Redressal: You have the right to an accessible mechanism to resolve data-related concerns (See Section 12).

9. DATA RETENTION AND ERASURE

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law.

  • FCM Tokens & Analytics: Retained while the App is active on your device.
  • Erasure: Once you uninstall the App, active tracking stops immediately. Residual analytical data may remain in secure backup systems for a limited period before automatic deletion.

10. REASONABLE SECURITY PRACTICES

We implement stringent, enterprise-grade security measures to protect your data:

  • Infrastructure Security: Our backend relies on Google Firebase cloud infrastructure, utilizing secure HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit.
  • Database Rules: We have deployed strict Firestore, Realtime Database, and Cloud Storage security rules that prevent unauthorized public read/write access to sensitive configurations and API keys.
  • Limitation: While we follow internationally accepted standards, no digital platform is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security against highly sophisticated, unforeseeable cyber-attacks.

11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

SLOGR provides sports updates and is not targeted at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal data without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete that information from our servers.

14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

The digital landscape is constantly evolving. We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time to comply with new legal requirements or technical upgrades. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
